2012 Sandbagger Classic
by MacTHW
Tonight, Captain Sandbag begins his first ever title defense at Pebble Beach for the newly minted Sandbagger Classic (renamed from last year’s THW Battle Royale). With Virg’s surprising Moving Day cinderella story victory at TPC Scottsdale and binkdog’s meticulous crib-note taking, it would appear that for the first time the enderdog may be the underdog at tonight’s tournament.
The championship for the 2012 Sandbagger Classic is up for grabs. Will Virg continue his hot streak? Is binkdog back in it to win it? Will Ash provide this week’s cinderella story? Will b-dub Eagle every hole? Tune in and find out who will emerge victorious at the…

Virg Stops By To Win Cappuccino Cup
by MacTHW
Virg returns to the links for the Cappuccino Cup and takes no prisoners. B-Dub is back in the game and looking for his second tournament championship. Can enderdog make it number 8 or will he stall out? These are your headlines the second in a string of three consecutive tournaments, the Cappuccino Cup at TPC Scottsdale.
While prepping to hit the links on Friday evening, Virg makes a surprise visit and announces his intentions to compete in the Cappuccino Cup. B-Dub stops by to visit as well. All in all, six golfers tee off at TPC Scottsdale to vie for chmpion at this year’s Cappuccino Cup.
B-Dub announces he’s in it to win it during round one, firing off a sixty-six with back-to-back birdies on five, six, seven, eight and nine, which was followed by MacTHW and Virg three strokes behind.
Round 1:
Round two finds the leader falling back a few strokes as MacTHW picks up four strokes, Virg three and enderdog two. Ash takes ten strokes off of his previous game and the scores are getting tighter as round two closes.
Round 2:
Round three find MacTHW at the top of the leaderboard, just barely. enderdog declares it Moving Day at TPC Scottsdale, shooting a low of 64. Virg falls back slightly and binkdog gets his game back to sub-seventy. enderdog takes the lead by one after three rounds.
Round 3:
Round four finds enderdog and MacTHW battling for first place. If MacTHW can stay consistent and deliver a 68, as he has in previous rounds the championship is his. Unfortunately, MacTHW runs into a lot of trouble along the back, knocking him out of contention. Things are looking up for the enderdog but he is blindsided by Virg, who turns in an amazing 61, setting a new course record low of 61, bypassing enderdog allong the way and cruising to a 5 stroke victory at TPC Scottsdale after four well played rounds.
Round 4:
Congratulations to Virg on his first tournament championship win at THW Golf. Hopefully he’s prepared to play at Pebble Beach next week where enderdog will most certainly be prepared to defend his championship title.

2012 Cappuccino Cup
by MacTHW
Friday evening kicks off the 2012 Cappuccino Cup…four rounds at THW’s most favorite course, TPC Scottsdale. binkdog will need to be well-prepared in order to defend his Cappuccino Cup title against what is sure to be a hostile takeover event. Can MacTHW turn his previous win into a streak? Will enderdog be better prepared or will we suffer through another pouting event?

PS3 Chicken Stick
by MacTHW
Is this the mysterious PS3 Chicken Stick?

For some reason, I have a hard time taking the MOVE seriously with that ridiculous bulbous thing at the end of the controller.
I wonder if one could hold an actual golf club with the Kinect?

Chicken Stick - Caddyshack Edition
by MacTHW
My secret to winning the Golfsmack Open.
Definitely not as fancy as Rodney Dangerfield’s rig from Caddyshack, seen below

I adapted his putter technology for the Chicken Stick like so…

...and gave it a whirl during the tournament

My putting was now on target. A whole lot less four-putting, that’s for sure. I may get a larger scope in time for the next tournament.

Thanks PutterScope®
